Jason Herring is a self-taught, mixed-media artist and illustrator stationed at Bethesda MD (USN). He reshapes the world in a variety of charcoal, watercolor, gouache, or oils. Fantasy and comic themes in addition to portraits easily proclaims this artist passion. Drawing since childhood he counts
Michelangelo Caravaggio, Jean-Leon Gerome, Andrew Loomis, Glenn Vilppu, Hal Reed, and Alex Ross as his mentors. His chief hope is that his humor and sensitivity connects with you….the viewer. He also enjoys the ability to express himself artistically, knowing that it is his gift and joy.
Jason is currently pursuing a MFA in Fine Arts from the
Academy of Art University.
